If the Us and Russia do get into a war no doubt nuclear weapons are going to be used.

I highly doubt it, any country that receives a nuclear attack is more than likely to send one back, either that or serrender but I doubt they'd do that. They have missile interceptors anyway which could potentially destroy the thing before it got to a city. Anyway the UN have the codes...
