It seems a much harsher punishment not letting them post images, links then it is to wait few hours for a post to be approved.

Isn't it easier for an Smod to do them or can mods approve any posts?

It takes the same amount of time - There's a section in the userCP that lets you view and (dis)approve posts in your section(s), aswell as one in the modCP which SMods can use. I moderate three sections; General, Habbo and Trading and I honestly do go through moderated posts three or four times a day.

It'll be faster in general for Smods really, because they can approve any posts, but it's good that you're doing it so thoroughly in important sections, so no-one can really complain about those sections
