Im not sure, I really dont think it looks too good.

There was the new nano and classic last year, I dont see why they would change it again already?

Because its that time of the year again where Apple release many things I'm hoping for Blu-Ray support even though I don't own a Blu-ray drive/DVDs. But it be a nice upgrade for the future. I'm also waiting for the new MacBooks

Edit; People who are saying that Nano = Small. Well looking at the picture it looks similar to the first Nano. But just a bigger screen and oval type shape?

Yeah but if you look at the other products, most of them had a longer life than one year.

I dont think that this looks good at all, its not how I would have expected a new nano to look.

I know what your saying. Maybe they never come? Maybe the picture is wrong and Apple release something better. Either way the latest iPod Nano was announced/released September 5, 2007. So the timing is correct.

I think we have preety much ruled out that proto-type. but we will not know untill the new generation is relesed, one thing is for sure there will be a new generation, apple have done so well from the ipod, it picked there company back up again. they were in the ****ter hole before the ipod came along

You think Kevin Rose gives out accurate Apple news?

He said the first iPhone would have a slideout keyboard.

My 1st Gen Nano lasted nearly 2 years before I had to update it - and not because it broke or anything, but because I needed more room. It's a great mp3, and if my 3rd gen lasts as long then I doubt I'll bother with this update.

To add to what I said above:

That picture is fan-made mockup. The screen on it has an aspect ratio of 1 : 1.28, which is very nearly square. For comparison, widescreen movies are 1 : 1.78. This means that if you were to watch a widescreen movie on that iPod, you would either cut off a large amount of the picture, or would see very large black bars at the top and bottom, which would take up around 50% of the screen.

In order for the screen to be the correct aspect ratio, it would have to be taller/longer, although it is pretty long as it is.

Although all the rumours point to a taller, longer Nano, that design doesn't quite work.

I know thats a mock up, bit its going to look like that.

And Kevins rumors used to be terrible, but lately he has been fairly accurate. So take it with a pinch of salt as always.
    y'wha?
