Some of this may have been said but like to confirm things.

Lighters, hand luggage only. So carry it on with you. Last time I flew we was only allowed one? But that might have changed. They know your age by your passport so be careful. Yes smoking on the plane is illegal and damaging any of the smoke detectors is also illegal and you will be arrested, fined and maybe sued LOL. Good luck and have a nice flight.

Back in the day you could smoke on planes. I'm a smoker, but I wouldn't ever wish it upon anyone to sit on a crowded plane with people smoking.

    Cheers,
Actually, you CAN take lighters away with you, making sure that they are in your SUITCASE not HANDLUGAGE...

And ofcourse you will get served in Turkey, they serve anyone with Money in their pockets regardless to your age... remember Turkey is a backwards country - they don't have laws like the UK!

Oh and DO NOT take ANY LIQUIDS in your Hand luggage... you will get them removed from you straight away... So put all bottled water/Gel/Shower Gel/Hair sprays in your suitcase..

On the discussion of liquids - You are allowed to take them if they are 3 ounce or smaller, and if you decide to take them you must have them in a clear zip-top plastic bag. I would also reccomend putting your lighter in one of these bags too.

I was about 3 since we were in Turkey, so I really have no idea with the laws of smoking t here.

For more info on the TSA regulations connected with liquids, check out this site.

    Have a great holiday.

We've taken lighters multiple times in hand luggage, just bagged it up and sent it through secruity, no comments.
