The vast majority will, and that's the problem. I hate that most people think it is entirely original and have absolutely no clue that it is a remake, same goes for Prom Night, and pretty much every Hollywood remake of a cult classic.

So long as people enjoy the film it doesn't matter in the least if it's a remake or not? There's no need to judge people for not knowing whether or not a film has been made before...:S

    Apparently the original was awesome.
You had to run over people for points.

Their was like a group of old people and they drove past them and then after thinking, reversed over them, ROFL!

It's stating fact and I'm not judging people. People think all these remakes are the first, and they hear nothing of the original films and never see them. That is a travesty, as there is not a single remake that is better than the original.

I've heard nothing but good things about the original.

The original is dire in almost every way. It's a poor film, I would not recommend it.

I like action, but I know I won't like Death Race. I just can't get past the stupid plot and I can see myself complaining about typical unintelligent dialogue that often makes it into remakes such as these. Death Race never was a film for me. All I need is Quantum of Solace and I'll be satisfied for the rest of the year.

The title isn't very creative lol, but the whole car/race/shooting idea seems cool.

The idea for the original was good (I have it on now), just all the acting seems really stiff and forced and flat.
    Stallone probably makes it.
