try ressetting ur computer
it happened to the one at college
and it fixed it right up

My old router kept doing that - I couldn't fix it, so i had to get a new one.
I had a netgear router though.
Bash it with a hammer
Sorry cant reril help you, but if i wake up tomorow and my routers doing it then.. your in for it![]()

I would not worry about it too much. It is most likely coming from a capacitor or inductor inside the router. My graphics card, for example, produces a high pitched squealing sound when under heavy load.
Disconnect your PPPOE, I cant tell you how to do it as its router specific if your confused to a factory setting restore on the router and reconfigure it for the network.
Although I will be honest with you this is a common issue in some of these cheaper routers from belkin and D-link.
ive had this problem for 2 days, havnt had it today so far. Seems to have sort itself out.
