What's the difference between sleep and standby? I put mine on standby all the time when I leave the PC but I've never come across a sleep mode

I always leave mine on sleep, unless it needs to install some updates.

On a weekday I put it to sleep at 11pm and wake it up at 3.30pm the following day. On weekends it is only in sleep mode for around 9 hours from 11pm - 8am the following day.

My laptop is either on or on sleep. It is rarely properly off.
