LOL why are you making a big deal about the warranty. If it was five hours before then that's fine, you are still in the warranty period.
Anyhow just reinstall Windows Home Premium.

Ehm, no that’s not true
Yes, he still have the warranty active, and has right to use it. But Warranty normally doesn’t cover software problems. And EVEN if it is covered by the warranty, he will have to turn the computer in within 5h. Since the only thing the company cares about is what time you handed the product in and requested it as reparation in the warranty - they don't care about when the problem started.
So even if the problem was developed during the warranty timeframe, he still would need to prove that by handing it in prior to the warranty “expiration” date.
But sure, you could always hope that the company is friendly and solves the problem…
Well he mentioned his laptop crashing and the fact the warranty ended 5 hours after, so it might not of been covered for software problems, but the way he said it, it was. Why mention warranty in his post if he wasn't covered lol. I'm going but what he's told usEhm, no that’s not true

If money isn't a problem then buy a Mac.
Actually it is true, if it happens on a weekend there should be 24hr lines for the problems. If they don't then you ring them as soon as they open, literally, and explain the problem. If they say no then just keep ringing and persisting (asking for managers ect.).
But most warranties don't even cover software anyway so he shouldn't of even mentioned it.
