My dad got it removed for me, if you get a parent or gaurdian to do it for you they can't really refuse.

They can as the phone is registered to a minor, or if they believe the phone will be given to a minor. Read the terms of the safeguard

Or if they have a web control panel like T-Mobile, just login and remove it.

Much like the vodafone/orange/other networks it will require a credit card first time.
