    My accusation would be, you weren't in range of any wireless connections. Just because you have the software installed and whatnot doesn't guarantee a hotspot.

    Do like I do, work you butt of to find one.

    sometimes if you have a utility that comes with the wireless card, and you try to use windows wireless utility they both like to intercept each other, i would always disable the third party utility.
