So you're saying aero doesn't take up unneccessary system resources for gaming?
If the game needs the resources it disables it, I know that FSX definatly disables it while its running, I think Crysis might do too.. Of course, Aero can always be disabled if you dislike it that much

Most games that have been released in the past year (maybe two) only work on Vista anyway so unless he's going to play loads of old games, Vista is for him.

you don't want to get xp these days for gaming, maybe when vista was first released that would have been a better choice but now a hell of a lot of new game releases don't work with xp, only vista.

Games should run fine but since you are running 2 Operating systems then the biggest games will either have to be run on low settings or not at all. If you were to use nfs undercover, flatout ultimate carnage or crysis or any of those types of games then you're better off just buying a pc.

If gaming is for you then the next time you invest in a new computer go for a high spec pc, they can do everything a mac can do + gaming, is cheaper and a wider program variety.

ppl plz don't slate me for being pro pc, i've just had a lot of problems with macs crashing and not working recently.

I use my Mac for gaming. But don't use VMware or any other program like that, use Boot Camp. Use XP 64-bit too so you can use all your RAM.
