    2nd one has better processor, but amd if you want quad core go for intel

    I doubt custom building would be recommended under that budget, but you could try dell etc, does it need monitor etc.

    Naww, no monitor is needed.

    It doesn't needed to be custom built, but I would just like it to have 4gb ram, a decent processor and an average graphics card. Doesn't need to have an OS if that cuts it down (seen it did on Overclockers, I think) All the rest can be standard. I tried dell before and got something for around £400 with a monitor, I'll have another look.

    I would say go to Dell and make one. I would choose out of them 2 you posted but I despise AMD and ATI. It's just a hate passion I have.

    You wold need to get RAM, hard drive(s), optical drive(s) and a graphics card with that barebones system.
