    Most are going to be slow... it has to transcode the video if the format isn't support for DVD playback. Transcoding into different formats isn't a 3 minute process, your lucky if you get a convertor that will do a good bitrate that converts in real time.

    I'm using WinAvi to convert AVI to DVD then using CyberLink Power2Go to burn it onto. Overall, takes about 30 mins.
