I disagree completely. I used UploadPicz all the time because it was so much more simple then the mainstream ones. Jin is more than capable at running something like UploadPicz, so there's no need at all for someone else. When the servers go down or whatever, it's the server that's the problem, not the upload site. I like UploadPicz being part of Habbox and think it should stay.

They will think that because they don't own it, and they cannot control it, it's not a wise choice.

Just be patient, if you're missing UploadPicz so much that you're having withdrawal symptoms, maybe you should see a specialist. It's just a very small image host - there are bigger giants out there - ImageShack, TinyPic and Photobucket just to name three.

But tehupload is way faster than them :S

I think Habboupload is the easiest uploader tbh. TehUploader doesnt let me and some of my friend even upload, and it takes FOREVER. So, if anything replaces UploadPicz, it should be Habboupload (you could possibly link with them)

As Xarea said, we wouldn't be able to control what is on the site or anything like that and as we are an official fansite taking risks like that would just be silly IMO

I don't think it will be too long until UploadPicz is fixed so it's not a problem really?

Hey,

Well after seeing whats been happening with uploadpicz i have came up with another idear, why not just get rid of uploadpicz.

My Reason:

1) The space it uses on server could be used elsewhere or maby be anuf to downgrade to a less expensive server therfor saving habbox money which they need as they cnt sell vip anymore.

2) No offense to jin here but no1 is really experienced with it so when something goes wrong, no-one knows how to fix it, if you picked an offical uploaded (sumin like TehUpload) you would have someone who knows what they are doing to help you, and if the site went down for some reason, you wouldnt be held responsable and wouldnt have threads asking why its down and moaning.

My suggestion is get rid of it, appoint an offical habbox upload site which you could work along side with, (getting you and them more bussiness) and save so much money from the server space it takes up.

What does anyone else think? Anyone agree, or disagree?

I'm pretty sure Jin is able to handle it. I have no idea where you're getting your facts from. Just because it's taking some time to fix this doesn't mean Jin can't handle it.

Why not just have a habbox.com uploader for news and site staff? The only risk is when you hire the wrong staff. TehUploads is quite popular and non-staff people can use it. There doesn't really seem a point behind uploadpicz, other than for news reporters and staff. But thena gain I don't know the facts or figures.

That doesn't say he can't handle it? He's saying that when something goes wrong, it takes a little time to fix. If he said Jin couldn't handle it, he would of said something along the lines of "it doesn't get fixed" or "Jin knows nothing." He's saying Jin has little experience, not none Key words in the sentence.
