
I didn't get a letter :s Wait afew weeks for itI know the exact reason for all this and you should too (Unless whoever pays for your internet hasn't told you)
Virgin media sent round a letter saying they were carrying maintenance out in the early morning hours (when the least amount of people were online) they said you will have to reset (just turn off and on) your modem etc whatever you have with them.
They say many will experience greater surfing speeds and a better service.I reset my router multiple times, thinking that was the problem. But it isnt for once.
Mine has been pretty sluggish and slow, but it hasn't been down.
Got another letter from virgin confirming that the date will be the 19th so the problems you are having now have no known reason. Maybe virgin are aware of the problem and that is what they will be trying to fix when they start maintanence.
