Rather than giving it out free, I would sell it to a site which wants a custom forum, you could get quite a bit for that I think.

Not everything is about money.. It's nice to be generous sometimes and work on coding skills etc.

If hes got the skills then why shouldn't he get payed for it? I assume he payed Richard for the design too, you don't want to loose money on things like this.

Hey, thanks for the offer. I will consider switching host after my contract expires.

And I will look at the quote problem, probably me just messing with the templates and causing mayhem

I've given out lots of freebies before including 2 forums (which weren't perfect because I was younger and couldn't be bothered). This time I am making a big effort to make it as best I can.

I sort-of agree with you. I can code, I don't need practice at doing it. I am doing this project in an around my exams to cool me down a bit if I get stressed.

I haven't fully decided what I am going to do with it yet, but 2 of my options are to release it opensource and free (probably under Creative Commons) or sell it to a site who wants a custom forum.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Keep it coming

    Jake.

Will there be a multi quote feature?

Tbh, if you chuck in basic feature then give away free.

If you do some advanced template editing etc, then sell.

Yes. I think I will implement such a feature when I code the newreply.php page

Nice idea. However the template editing is pretty advanced already. It is similar to VBulletins where the templates are stored in a database and have the $variablename which substitutes. It also has an <if condition="whatever"></if> simple usage and all the English you see on the forum is stored in a phrase table to multiple languages can be used.

Maybe there could be a basic version, and a pro/premium version.
Basic would be free, premium would cost.

That's not a bad idea. I will consider it. Thanks
