Hmmm weird. I did a Google Search and there's another LG TV which hasn't got a headphone socket, but it's a different shape and size to your one. 26" LG 26LC2R

Might be an LG thing where they just simply don't have headphone sockets. Good for if you want a cinema sound system where you plug headphones into that, but not very good if you're on a strict budget

I've officially given up now. Im almost certain their is no flip down thing, no headphone sockets on the side or front. Ill jsut have to buy that damn cable
