Applying for British Passport

Your quicker to get a form and send it away. When you apply online you can only fill half of it in and they send you it out and stuff.

Or go to your local passport office and get a 1 day one, costs more but sometimes it has to be done.

If flying within the uk u can use a drivers licsense or provisional or something.

For traveling in the UK i am pretty sure you dont need a passport just some sort of ID to prove who you are. EG a drivers license.

National health insurance card.. that's new

I'm sure that anything that proves you're from UK (like National Insurance) can mean you can fly anywhere in Britain (as you're flying internally). I may be/most likely to be wrong though.

EDIT: I looked around google and people say you don't need passport flying within UK but you need photo ID

You don't need a passport if you're flying domestically (Within the UK in your case) but you will need SOME form of identification.

Additionally when I got my passport renewed, I chose the fastrack option and it came a few days later.

It's the only way you'll get it. It takes three weeks to process a Passport, plus three days to send from the office. No way would you get it by your fly out date.

If you're flying domestic you can use most official id, driving licence, NI card ect..

It might of changed since a few years ago, but i'm pretty sure it's still the same.

Why don't you just read the UK passport website.
It takes 7 day to process about 5 days delivery.

The turn around for my bf's passport for our Christmas Hol in December, was 10 days I think, which was incredible especially considering Christmas post!

I wouldn't risk it though, go to your nearest passport office- it'll be a long day though
