Well they've introduced alot of little features lately, so it won't be long until they do. I'd like to join it, but I'm not a computer wizard like you guys are... I know my Storage from my Memory, so I guess thats something of a start.

Groups are rubbish anyways and you don't get any signal to show you're in the help group really, so if someone was asking they wouldn't know who was in said group.

Also i think the way daves saying it its not just random noobs clicking "join group" you actually have to shwo your helping and actually having to do work to get a chance, i think thats what hes meaning anyways.

That's why you make the group to invite-only.

I know what you mean though, maybe a group would be nice but it's not as efficient as getting Management to make it a usergroup within the forum.

It would be a private group obviously.

I don't mean to be negative, but, is it not quite a different situation to coding, as not many people around at of the majority know a lot about it? Whereas loads of people know lots about computers and people know the odd bits here and there that others don't.

If it was created into a group where only certain people could post and answer questions like coding then I think you tick a few people of making it more of a hassle if only a certain few where allowed to answer.
As well, how would you prove yourself and decide the ones that are accepted into the group. That again would cause some tension and unnecessary more hard work of situations.

I can see your point as thats what the doubts I had in my first post however if you look at some of the threads around alot are just try this, it might work, as with for example, nick or stephen will come along and it's an automatic do this as they know what they are doing.

I can see why some folk may disagree with this, but I thought i'd put it before as an idea, never know after all.
I really like that idea, we quite often see questions posted in various parts of the forum, that could perhaps be better answered by those with more computer knowledge. It's an excellent idea, and I hope something can be created to get this going.
It's the quality of your posts that count, not the quantity!
