I download the new vb files without the images

then open up the zip, an send over all the new vb files, set to overwrite on the ftp. Leave it all, then run upgrade

There is no need to change config.php.new, it's simply renamed so that if people do it like me it doesnt overwrite your config.php

Thats the same way we do our upgrading except we delete install.php and config.php.new while it is still on our local machines before uploading.
