No I have an elite so it's overall very quiet but core etc can be really noisey, it depends if there's any dust in the fan or how well it's ventelated I guess.
That's why we seize the moment, try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it cause we consider these minutes golden.

It all depends on which disc drive you have, like some cores can have drives by Hitachi or w.e and be quiet, but then an elite has a Samsung drive and sounds like a 747 taking off.
