Go with Bulmers, Magners or Kopperberg. Cost a little more, but totally worth it. If you go for the Mixed Fruit Kopperberg, its great. Tastes like Ribena, but gets you drunk

And obviously if you are feeling a little more adventurous, get loads in and make some Cocktails. Margarita's, Sex on the Beach, Sea Breeze etc... Just experiment, and see what you like. If you don't wanna make a mess though, I suggest going online and downloading a few exact cocktail recipes. Then go get the ingredients.

Buy sidekick because they are 3x as strong as WKD and not even twice as much in price, taste pretty much the same aswell. Also just buy glens vodka and make your own shots, you don't drink shots for the taste, you drink them to get drunk very quickly so mixing them is almost as pointless as a chocolate fireguard. BOOYAAAA.

Ooh.. I've got a few suggestions that wouldn't be too hard for you to make, and they're somewhat cheap (though a little more expensive than your average cheap vodka).

Screwdrivers are always pretty delicious (orange juice + vodka)

If you want to try something neat, try throwing down some cake shots. They're shots that supposedly taste like chocolate cake - me and some friends just invested in some alcohol for a cake shot recipe that we're planning on drinking on my other friends birthday this Thursday. Since we haven't had them yet, I can't guarantee it'll be good, but it might be interesting. For our cake shots we bought Frangelico Vanilla Liquor and Absolut Citron Vodka. The recipe we found said to fill a shot glass halfway with the frangelico and the other half with the citron, and then take the shot and immediately after bite into a wedge of lemon thats been dipped in powdered sugar. Here's hoping it works! You could also probably some other alcohol mixtures for cake shots online (just search for cake shot recipes). The frangelico is a bit expensive I think though, so if you're strapped for cash, try the next two things instead.

My second recommendation and a personal favorite of mine is if you buy peppermint schnapps and bottle of hershey's chocolate syrup, put a squirt of the chocolate on your tongue, take a shot of the schnapps and swish it around once then swallow. Tastes like a peppermint patty, delicious

Lastly.. If you want to try a mixed drink, my favorite (berry) flavored drink is Absolut Kurant vodka. Buy that, then just put a shot or two in a glass with some ice, then fill the rest of the cup with Sprite (or some other lemon lime soda - Sprites the only one I've tried though), and try that. I usually also throw one slice of lemon into my cup since I like the added flavor it gives it. If you make it properly you can't taste the alcohol at all - absolutely delicious and it'll get you drunk before you even realize it, though it might be a bit of a girly drink for you

If you want to get rum, get any kind and just mix it with Coke, it's also fairly good and the soda will help get it into your bloodstream faster.

So yeah! Those are my favorites, though of course you can always just stick to buying some cheap alcohol and just takes shots of those haha. Or really, any vodka is good if you mix it with cranberry juice or lemonade or orange juice, all of which are good for masking the flavor. But I'd strongly suggest trying some of my suggestions since they're absolutely delicious, and it'd be a good way to start off.. Then once you're tipsy/drunk you can move on to the cheap alcohol that tastes crummy since you won't even notice the flavor then! Mixed drinks are also the best for drinking games in my opinion (I hate beer - nasty taste, too many empty calories!).

Don't buy vodka, buy Sambuca. It's around the same price, about 11 quid for a bottle in Morrissons, about the same percent wise, but it's beautiful. Don't get it if you don't like aniseed though.
