exactly. ive asked a lot of people but i still dont see the big deal about twitter. it's literally facebook minus everything but status updates. i usually defend social networking sites like facebook and myspace etc, but i just honestly dont see the appeal in twitter.

My guess is because it makes people feel significant and famous because everything on twitter is public. I joined but I don't use it, I don't see why people you don't know need to know what you're doing and how you're feeling.

exactly! its dumb. i dont need to know or want to know what other people are doing, cause everyone's lives are boring. even my closest friends, i wouldnt really care for following what they're doing throughout the day.

There's different uses for it for different people.

Of course, who wants to know bill is eating graham crackers, no one.

But when it comes down to it, more people in the online world use it for different reasons.

Like me, I use it to connect to other developers, marketing people, and friends. You can have some pretty interesting conversations on there.

I use it every once in a while to see if someone I need to speak to is working, or is available (*cough* @awfy *cough*).

Some people might not see the need, which means it might not be for you.

If you do see the interest, then it might be for you.

i like it cause you can just ignore people, like noone is really meant to reply so you can reply if you really feel the need to
and i like seeing what mike skinner is doing cause im some kinda obsessive stalker
its good aswell cause companies i follow can announce stuff, like i dont know, events, gigs etc. its good for announcements and thingsssss

SO THATS WHY I LIKE IT ANYWAY
