Yeah, but you should have mentioned you were talking about the reputation system at first, because the last part of your post is just out there.. and doesn't explain anything.

I personally think we should replace the Reputation system with the Thanks system. The negative reputation system is completely pointless, it's either abused or used to initiate arguments. If someone -reps you for breaking the rules it's like taking it into their own hands, the Moderator's are there to manage the rules and 'Punish' people so the negative reputation system is stupid in that essence. More and more it's just being abused and given out when people disagree with you or you're ever so slightly not politically correct. It serves no real purpose, frankly anyone who -reps me doesn't have the balls to PM me and then I'd argue my point to them, instead they feel they need to send me an anonymous message which is just annoying and won't change the way I post, I will continue to post what I think no matter whether people -rep me or not.

Once again, negative reputation serves no point at all and tbh I feel I've hardly ever deserved negative reputation whenever I receive it. It is possible to disable negative reputation so I'd appreciate it if it was looked into or we look into a 'Thanks' system.

I completely agree, the rep system is pointless at times. People -rep you for silly reasons and the guy who made this thread has a point.

This is essentially the reputation system
It costs nothing to be a good friend.

Like Yoshi and Nvr said, this is exactly the same as the rep system without gaining rep - it would be pointless.
    I love it when you
    flex like that
