    Looks nice.
I think it'd look better if you lined the logo with the box below.

    Example:
    LOGO
    BOX

    Not:
    LOGO
    .....Box

    quite nice.

improvements could be made in the nav and BG. get rid of the vertical stripes and put the other one behind the green block. doesnt look right with it on top

I completely disagree with what people are saying about the background, its the only good thing about the design. The second two designs are nothing compared to the first. I dislike this type of design as its half-hearted. It has the potential to be great but "the banner looks good, i wont put the effort into the rest". If your going to make a simple website, keep it simple. Is this a wip? If so try removing the green lump in the middle and replacing with a black content area and fill it. If you disaprove of this idea i would love to see the design for the sub pages.

Not all sites have to have a clear content area craigg, but maybe I am being bias against your suggestions due to me disliking nearly every design you have ever made.

It does look very WIPy, looks like there are no real margins etc and the green maybe a bit too bright.

Indeed source. clear content areas are exactly that, clear. the design just looks half hearted, confused if you will. Its graphical yet trying to be clean which i find looks wrong. About your opinion on not liking any of my designs is your personal preference and has no relevance.

edit: Just noticed that the title says [WIP], what a fool.

I wasnt planning on having anything on that page accept a banner and bullet points of the skill set I have.

Craig, seriously you need to get rid of your attitude cause I read that first post I didnt know whether to start crying or to give you a nice flame back.

I just checked your recent posts, your website and you're telling me my designs are _****_, Yeah they probably are but I rather have someone who can design something better than these

    http://www.craig.recoding.net/xcase/...ew_attempt.jpg
    http://www.craig.recoding.net/xcase/...attemptold.jpg

and this even, genertic OS commerce crap

    http://www.craig.recoding.net/xcase/xcase_new_red.jpg

Dont get on the wrong side of me man, I'm not a good designer, I asked for criticism not a right out heartless comment.
