So you wait to fix things on a certain day?
I think the users are smart enough to know when changes are made, if they had a normal "log", without them being made on a specific day.

i'm out of touch, i'm out of love
i'll pick you up when you're getting down
and out of all these things i've done
i think i love you better now
I know this is late, I haven't been on for a while, but I feel the need to reply.
Honestly, I don't see any harm done to you by those posts being there. Don't like it? Don't read it! It's that simple.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with those posts being there. Its actually a lot right. We have made a significant effort to continously bring updates to the community. Therefore every Sunday we almost always have updates. So this is what he could find to do for this Sunday.
I agree that maybe the several posts was a bit much. However, the fact that lAscend took the time to even paste that out and made the effort to try and do something to change for Sunday Updates is extremely impressive and shows the dedication he has to try to provide something for the community and make good on his promises to update every Sunday, even if it is something very minor.
Why do we not just do updates on a rolling basis? For two reasons, one it sets deadlines for us. As volunteers, we know that things very often get put off until we feel like doing them, which ends up being very late. If we're working towards a deadline its much easier to get it done. Also then the community has something to expect and knows when to expect them.
The reason site updates haven't been done is because Mr.OSH has been extremely busy and Favourtism resigned.
As for New Habbox, due to health and personal issues it was paused, then I've been really busy and Mr.OSH has taken leave, we're trying to catch up and keep things running due to backend problems that we're trying to resolve.
My initial plan was New Habbox New Year for the first quarter and then improving departments based on user feedback in Q2, then special events for the summer in Q3 and then see what happens in Q4.
We have implemented many significant New Habbox changes, though a lot of them have been behind the scenes so I guess technically they're not new Habbox. However there are more on the way, some of them have been combined (for example, arcade tournaments were put into the Features Manager announcement). It's just going to take us longer due to uncontrollable circumstances. Sorry!

To be fair, however look it took Ascend to tell us that the abbreviation VIP had its link removed, whether or not iot took him an hour - it's still a 100% complete, and utter waste of time!
I am totally excited for Sunday, lets see what grammar they change in the FAQs this week :eusa_clapI know this is late, I haven't been on for a while, but I feel the need to reply.

Your post hardly answers my query and frankly you've lost most my support for you being General Manager (It doesn't count for much I know).
How is it impressive posting updates that he's added brackets? That's not impressive, that's just pointlessly trying to look like he's done a lot this week when he hasn't. I'm not criticising the updates btw, just the fact that you find it impressive and the need for him to post grammatical updates. I'm sure people would rather you were honest and didn't post updates on a Sunday if nothing needs doing rather than just posting nonsense nobody wishes to read.
How can you say don't read it? I like to read all interesting announcements, foolish as I am, I thought the weekly updates would be interesting otherwise I'd hope they wouldn't be posted but sadly it was just full of the stuff this thread is on about :eusa_sile
100% agreed.I am totally excited for Sunday, lets see what grammar they change in the FAQs this week :eusa_clap

Why does it matter?
We don't do the updates to one day we do it across the course of the week however we announce it all on a sunday also it doubles up as our to-do list for things that need to be completed that week.
Otherwise things tend to get pushed around and delayed if we go day by day.
Put it this way, out of all management I am the only one that doesn't work by the weekly updates and look at my track record.
Remember SMS Donations, yeah? thats still on a hiatus because I am free to push it around other tasks as I have no deadline or even a personal deadline.
WE FIX THINGS WHEN WE CAN! Thats the benefit of the weekly updates. "HMMM can't do it today? maybe on lunch break wednesday", "Better do that tomorrow only 2 days of the week left".
Some of us have riddiculously demanding things to do on Habbox. I was online 10PM till 5AM fixing images as that is the only time I have had free. I don't understand why our announcement practices would even be considered as useful feedback.

With all due respect, if your "support for me being General Manager" was based on the validity of announcements (which is what your post makes it seem like) and not the substance of all that we have done then it isn't exactly earth-shattering. I understand that you may not like me because of the way I responded to your posts, but quite frankly when you make uncessary attacks on my staff where simple constructive criticism could have been posted, I will defend them.
What I find impressive from lAscend is not necessarily the updates, as I said I do agree that it was a bit excessive. What I am lauding is his dedication and his attempt to try to do something for the community. Although it might have been better for him to just say "we have made grammatical changes to the FAQs" and leave it at that, his intentions were good.
Also, the weekly update did have relevant material about the features managers. The rest, yes, were FAQs updates but it was pretty easy to see they were all the same thing, four seconds gone, oops.
Moreso than your actual point, you need to watch your rhetoric. The point of your post could have been just as easily made without the absurd accusations such as:
If I wanted you to stop doing something, I wouldn't come up to you and say "You look like such a freaking loser doing this if you have any self respect or wish to be cool you would stop doing it."Originally Posted by Jordy
I'm pondering whether you're trying to get your post count up cause that thread is just full of pointless posting no one cares about. However I'm going to go with a lack of common sense, it amazes me you feel the need to post you've updated some words in the FAQ.
You complain about us being "businesslike" on one hand but then turn around and invoke the customer-is-right mentality outrightly criticizing the staff and making attacks.
In short, keep your criticism constructive, and only constructive.

I agree, things should be updated when they need to be updated and things should be updated entirely not bit by bit to look like there are changed each week.I think it's stupid you say it's for them to get their post count. However, I agree with your general point. There seems to be weekly updates merely because they promised changes every week. I'd prefer you just as forum management just to make changes as and when it's necessary.
