Virgin Media 50MB's Installed!

Oh, I will be getting 50MB by the end of July. It's like waiting for big present!

Nice one, even if cable did come into my area I doubt I'd end up switching to it. Especially something as extravagant and costly as a 50mb package, although it'd be nice to have a half decent upload speed. Currently on BT's so called 8mb package, which is untrue and overpriced, so we'll soon be moving to Sky when the contract ends at some point this year. This might sound like the fools question, but how can you justify a 50mb package for regular internet usage?

With Sky get 2mb but I'm quite far from the exchange so I'd say it's ok due to distance.

Yeah I mean their TV is ok and their films on demand and iPlayer on their is ok but I think sky is better of sky have loads of HD channels as well.

Nah not at all I'd say 2mb would suffice for someone who used normal internet like browsing and stuff but I do alot of gaming so I like a rather good ping and I do an awful lot of downloading which is why I moved to it because I like speed and also wanted to download my films and so on at a nice speed and because their is no useage or capping limits.

You're internet speed is exactly 16.6 times faster than mine, and I'm on the fastest package for my area (3MB)
