£100 million... surely a museum doesn't take that much to maintain.
It does seem like a waste. I very much doubt other countries are contributing to the site. If they are, then that's well over a billion £ going towards restoring something that can't be that heavily deteriorated. I can see why people don't want to vote tories. If there's an option to vote someone new to be head of the Labour party, then maybe something will clear up. But my view on it is, they may aswell let ITV1 take the voting, it is just going to be a pointless popularity vote.

I agree with what people have said about we being in a recession and him flinging £100m on this. If we wasn't in the current situation then I wouldn't mind as much but its silly to do it now.
Gordon Brown hasn't given anything yet, and he's not giving the £100 million. The article says that Brown hasn't specified how much he's giving.
That site is completely biased, according to other articles, Brown hasn't even considered giving any of our money--just that he supports the cause.
