9. Can I Keep My Number?

Yes, you can.



Please call Customer Care to request the number transfer. Your mobile or SIM card comes with its own number printed on the packaging but you can still use your old number. That way you don't need to tell friends or family your number has changed. Keeping your old mobile number is easier than you think.


How long does the transfer take?
Transferring your existing number to your Tesco Mobile takes 2 working days*. During this time, use up any airtime credits you have with your current network. You can also start using your Tesco Mobile SIM card to make and receive calls using the temporary number.
*2 working days except for Bank Holidays.

do you have to use it in a certain time

The original credit you top up (for example £15) will be there until you use it up, however, your bonus which you receive (in this case £30 on top of the original £15) will be used up before the money you topped up, and lasts a month until it expires, so if you haven't used it all, you will still have your £15 intact.


to keep your number, ring up current provider, ask for PAC code, they'll give you one, ring tesco when you have your new sim, give them PAC code. easier than reading all that junk haha.
