The reason they have done so, You may remeber a while ago they brought in a feature to disable trading, well this was no use as hackers could still drop, now if the trading lock is enabled hackers have no alternative, they have to wait 24 hours to disable the lock, which buys you time to contact sulake ect.

So if you are being compromised, log into your account and enable the trade lock, this way no furni can be exchanged through accounts and contact sulake immeditly via help tool or phone.

Actually hackers will carry on as normal since theyll just drop. It tops alot of the buying and selling though.

They want us all to verify our e-mail addresses and stuff, so they have means of contact most likely. Doing so, we can only use trade, which is kind of stupid. But in the new version (currently found on BETA), there are loops in the trade, which makes it very very easy to scam people. I hope they patch this up!
