I've only really been in there about 5 times in the last year (I quit habbs) and have never seen anyone behind the desk but maybe it was all just bad timing.![]()

Very rarely is someone behind the bar
Very rarely does someone come in and legitimately need help.
Help is not in demand due to the Habbo Guides.
Only thing i can see changing in the following months is maybe 1 or 2 people asking for help a day related to BETA.
yeah and even BETA help wont happen if people just sit in the main room with their mates rather than behind the bar, helping
In their defense, the point is for them to sit in the main room. As part of our push to keep HxHD alive we tried to bring our staff out from behind the bar and instead have them interact more to make it sort of a lounge environment.
We may try to find a medium where some staff are readily viewable behind the bar but if BETA help is only for the short term, over the long term we need to have a sustainable strategy which includes bringing the staff more into the community.
It costs nothing to be a good friend.

Only reason HxHD gets popular atm is due to DJ's partying in there.
No-one needs help due to guides, and as part of the guides they add them to friend list so if they have a problem a quick IM to the guide will get the problem sorted instead of going to HxHD, which they probably won't even know about.
I previously fought against the fact of changing it to a lounge, but now i'm with it tbh, a help desk with a few moderators or so watching the room.
As literally no-one is going to ask for help, the room usually contains 10-20 HxL listeners.

i tend to spend alot of time in the help desk wich means all my friends do its the only way i can see it getting anyone in there is by people being there inviting there friends etc
i will from now on spend more time behind the desk if thats what you guys want you will alot of the time see me in there i spent hours in there yesterday and i will do tht all the time im staff as i have tried to do
and velvet i wasnt offended i was just sayingove3: sorry if it came about that way xx
Doesn't matter if your behind the desk, regardless no-one needs help so it is going to fail but atm its just prolonging the fail.
I don't mind HxL parties happening in there or the fact you want staff to integrate with the community. The problem is you can't call it a help desk if there aren't staff who are visibly helping like in the case of HxHD. Is a pixelated bar really preventing staff from talking to people on the other side and blending with the community, I hope not
Like nvr said, the desk was transformed at the start of the year into a more relaxed and chilled room. With that the layout was changed to suit the purpose and the capacity of the staff area was decreased. This was so the staff would spend more time in the room generally conversing with the desks visitors and not just offering help. Obviously Jake, a pixelated bar doesn't stop that conversation but, as a psychology student you should know that having a bar causes a divide and an "us and them" situation, the fact that staff now spend more time in the actual room make guests feel more relaxed while talking to staff and don't see them as only help givers, but as friends.
Scott, HxL parties aren't the only thing that makes the desk popular, don't be so daft. Else the desk would never have anyone in it unless a DJ is using the room which is most absurd as only a few DJs use the HxHD for a party room and they don't do it very often.
I love it when youflex like that
That's ludicrous, lol. You can't possibly believe for one moment that the bar causes any such divide. It never did when I worked there under numerous managers. I'm pro-HxHD, I think it's an asset to Habbox and like I previously mentioned it's popular at the moment, which is a huge turn around.
My problem is if you're going to call it a Help Desk then you should have at least one staff member behind the bar. If people come in searching for help and see nobody behind the bar then they're going to leave.
