Professional. Don't need everything in Ultimate, but I want more than Home Premium.

After Vista I am not taking my chances with a watered down version of Windows (XP-Mode all the way!). When I am eventually forced to use a variant of Windows that is not XP, I'll be torrenting Ultimate.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.

Why would anyone need anything other than home premium?
After seeing that, Premium seems the best.

Hard to say, it's definitely between Premium and Pro.

If I pirate it then Ultimate and if I buy it then Home Premium.

Does anyone know if the pre-order for half price offer is the retail edition (activation on 3 PCs) or am I barking up the wrong tree?

To answer your questions, I'm buying Ultimate because I need BittLocker and the system speedup, I also need to have the option to boot from a VHD which I do almost everyday
