Yeh things can go wrong when jailbreaking but it's very unlikely. You can restore it if anything does go wrong or if you just want it as normal again.
CheersI think I'll do it and if I run into any problems, just hit a restore.
Thanks mate. Do you have msn so I could ask you a few q's and have someone there if I get stuck? It's fine, many people have used redsn0w with 3.0 and it's worked fine if you want to set it back to a normal iPhone then yeh just do a restore, the only people who ended up having to restore are those who do something stupid during the jailbreak or something stupid once they've jailbroken. I've had my iPhone jailbroken since I got it, given that wasn't long ago but I haven't had any problems. If you do run into problems there's always DFU restore. A good place to find information about this sort of thing is looking around iClarified and MacRumors forums.
Do some research before posting such nonsense. Jailbreaking doesn't block you from downloading any apps from iTunes if you still want to, free or paid. I've never seen an iPhone go white whilst been jailbroken, the whole process shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes anyway.![]()

I second this btw.Go to Cydia, add the source cydia.hackulo.us, accept the source when it asks you if you want to add it (the warning about it distributing copyrighted apps) go to search and look for AppSync and install it. You might need to reboot, I can't remember if it ask you to then do so.
You can now sync cracked apps, search them at appulo.us for the app you want. If you want to add them straight from the site to your iPhone then also search for and add Installous, if you add apps through Installous they won't show up in iTunes however so I just download them and add them through iTunes. Once you download the .ipa simply double click it and it will be added to iTunes, then sync.
Edit - Looks like Appulo.us is down at the moment, but shouldn't be too long until they're done upgrading.
The videos on youtube will get you through, thats how I've jailbroken my iphones and ipod touches.
I 100% agree +rep. It also makes the iPhone run really slow, when i jailbroke mine it was fun for the first few days. Then when I had messed about with some of the themes and whatnot, I was fed up of it. I had forgotten how slow the jailbroke had made it until I restored it!
I've jailbroken iPhones and iPod Touches (I own a Touch 2nd Gen and did own a Touch 1st Gen, my friend has an iPhone 3G) and neither of them run slowly, they run a LITTLE slower than stock, but it's not very noticable and is a small price to pay for awesome themes, and getting paid apps free etc etc.I 100% agree +rep. Get Winterboard for themes, and if you are on 3.0 get AppSync to allow you to sync apps from your PC (you can get all apps for free at www.appulo.us)
