Stop downloading torrents? Hell no. Stop downloading software/music/videos illegally? If your isps hasseling you then probabaly.

Its a terrible misconception torrents are only used for piracy, everything from world of warcraft updates to linix distributions make use of them to propergate accross the web o.o

More like hell yes, encryption on torrents is useless because of the way torrents work, download speeds are usually ass slow because of 934082394820 people on DSL with upload speeds ranging from slow to OH CHRIST WHEN WILL THIS DOWNLOAD FINISH and every major entertainment company in the history of ever is on the torrent sites looking for illegal downloaders.

However if you go with usenet and pay a measly £10 a month you get the following:
    *****in' fast downloads
Download massive files before they're even released anywhere near torrents (usually)
    Encryption that works
No chance of your ISP catching you because they can't decrypt anything and companies can't monitor what you're downloading

    Usenet 1, Torrents -239102312391823.

i use rapidshare, it gives me 1Mb/s and my internet is 10mbps so it's good. im with virgin and never got a download letter or warning etc i've downloaded quite a fair bit n all. only bit i miss with torrents and the likes is it's just one file, r/s is in parts usually but a download manager is good for that.

The only problem with that is the fact that you're paying money for it. The appeal of piracy for me is I don't have to pay anything I know the amount you pirate makes up for it but its just money that I'd rather not spend

Blisteringly fast downloads and pre-times within seconds of the time they appear on usenet, if not before they're on usenet via private trackers and all free .
