I've ate nuts before, im a big fan of cashew actually... So i wouldn't imagine it being that... And the coronation chicken i get is nut / fruit free

It could be tonsilitis which I've had a number of times and can leave you in excruciating pain, especially when you try to swallow.
You could also have swollen glands maybe?
Go and see your doctor. They can prescribe you painkillers.

Yeah it could be tonsilitis, if when you wake up, you feel sick and have the shakes then it's probably tonsilitis, and you'll need to get penicilin. Go to your doctors.
