If you moved the two seats the santa person is sitting on back to where the two plants are and put a table with them, you could fit another table in the middle with two chairs facing the kitchen, back to back with the chairs that are currently in the middle .

Just tried your suggestion robald, but i think it would make it hard to walk past to get to the tables/seats at the back of the room, as it would be blocked off,(If I'm doing it correctly )
