USB stick - apps?

Indeed, the only hope of encryption of USB Flash Drives is if Windows natively decrypts. I believe Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows 7 does this?

Noo, With mine I plug it in and it shows up as a CD Drive, autoruns the app so I have to put my password in and then acts as if it plugs in a USB drive and decrypts the 256bit AES encryption. It works pretty damn well apart from when our network admins disallow us to run our own exe apps.

U3 can password protect so you missed something. Get SanDisk

U3 can indeed password protect. I use it on my 2Gb SanDisk.

I might be wrong, but AFAIK it only works on SanDisk drives. If this is wrong, sorry.

I have a sandisk drive! just downloaded it, password protected it, went to college and it didn't work, the computers don't allow applications to start, including U3, ah well, I'll take the password thing off.

Cool program though, I must admit!

It is a cool program, I have to admit. Our rubbish school PCs also don't accept U3 software, but will load the actual drive provided its not password protected, through Windows Explorer.
