I said we wont win the final, or there is less chances. Doesn't mean we wont win any matches. We have won the last 2 series without them ... and beat Australia and trashed England, Sri Lanka and West Indies ...
And if you forgot, no one thought India would win the inaugural T20 World Cup as none of the big players were playing, but we made record by smashing England to 6 6's (thanks Flintoff) and by winning it.
Pakistan did the same this year. No one thought they would win, but they did.

The problem with England is that they rely fully on Flintoff and KP, the rest aren't great. We do not rely on Gambhir or Sehwag alone, and that was demonstrated when we trashed Sri Lanka and won the Compaq Cup this month.

I am sure KP and Flintoff didn't cause you to lose 6-1. Otherwise you shouldn't even have bothered going to South Africa considering KP isnt playing and I don't think Flintoff is either.
Just pray South Africa go easy on you guys.

I think it will be SA, SL, India and Australia in the semis.

New Zealand will win this tournament! I hope.

England haven't got a chance, Bresnan is a rubbish bowler! Need to play 2 spinners, colly, dimi and wright to stand a chance of winning even one match. Our medium bowlers are better at ODI's than our quickies!

Btw Saurav, Yuvraj struck Broad for 6 6's, not Fred

I know But it was because of Flintoff winding him up just before Broad bowled So really, Flintoff is to thank.

I have always said, Collingwood is one of the best players. He doesn't show off or anything and is the one I am always afraid of.

rofl Fred does have some great little snipes though, can't remember the nation we were playing but when he came to the crease someone said to him something along the lines of "Put a bit of weight on ain't cha" to which Fred replies "yeah, cos everytime I **** ya missus she gives me a cookie" hahaha, so immature but brilliant!

The England team itself is not exactly rubbish, but they aren't used to all the chopping and changing, mixed up seasons, working all year stuff...
The ECB really needs to be more considerate to not only the players, but the fans; who deserve a good game.
If it were up to me, I'd have 2 series in the English summer (3 tests, 3 ODI's, 3 T20's); once at the beginning of the season (May..) and another at the end of the season (August).
Then, during the English winter, they'd have only 1 series away from home (3 Tests, 3 ODI's, 3 T20's) during either January or February.
That way, it gives the England team the best chance to be fully-fit for all their international fixtures in a season; it also gives the selectors a chance to let the team play in the domestic league (Pietersen plays for Hampshire folks, 3 appearances in 5 years I believe!) during the English summer, where the best players then get picked for internationals.
It would also give the players a chance to have a break before any tournaments, like the T20 WC; ODI WC; ICC Trophy; Champions League; IPL.
The players who don't want to enter the IPL or aren't in the Champs League, can sign onto a different club from SA / Aus during the winter if they desire.

All that should really prevent burn-out.

Then the domestic game should be turned into this sort of format, not gonna be perfect cos this is off the top of my head...
    May - June = 4 day cricket
    June - July = Pro40 cricket
    July - August = T20 cricket
    August - September = 4 day cricket

That way players can really excel and have the best possible chance to get some form, and potentially earn an England call-up.

    Anyone still reading?

He can though, that's the thing. But he's never been told he has to do that, so he becomes a cornerstone for every innings when things go wrong, who rotates the strike with the tail; or, in those very rare cases, can break-loose if England are in a good position when he comes to the crease, he has done it before!
He's also not there to take wickets, he's a containing bowler, economy instead of wickets. Plus on top of that, he is in the top 3 fielders in the world.

which is the exact point i was trying to get across to ksoz, but he is not our best player, best fielder by far, best fielder in the world imo.

i fully agree but i would push tests up to 5 and make 3 ODI's and 1 T/20

also i would rather have domestic t/20 as it was in around about may and june
Do you ever feel like you want to go home?
