I wouldn't be offended, I'd be ashamed. Why would I want to be 'bad'? It could mean badly behaved or just plain ugly.

It's all point of view. If you'd done something for a while, for example, tennis, and you were actually pretty good, and someone said you were bad at it, you'd be offended, surely?

But in other circumstances, it would depend, I suppose.
