When I see a thread like this and I've seen many seeing as I was with the Rare Values department back when it was amazing (joke, calm it). The first thing that springs to my mind is that the individual who created the thread has actually just purchased some of the rares they're moaning about. I imagine that to be true in your case too. You haven't created this because you care about the department or wish to offer constructive feedback but because you want personal gain. That is obviously the wrong way to go about things.

The department is going through a transitional period and there is/going to be a new manager (not sure if it has been announced). Maybe the previous manager wasn't on top of the super rare value market. I wouldn't know as I personally no longer dabble in the super market myself thus I can't be critical or full of praise. I suggest you give the new management team to settle in and put their own individual mark on the department. Only then should you begin to criticise.

I have to put the argument in that Habbox Rare Values are only a guide. I assure you that if they didn't value super rares so many people would be scammed/ripped off and lose their supers because they weren't aware of their value. All it would take is 3 well known casino owners to tell someone gold dragons had crashed to 7t or whatever then sell it on and split the profit. You under estimate what lengths people go to to make profit, being dishonest is hardly the worst of these - it'd happen far too frequently.

If you don't wish to use the values then don't. If like you say that people are trading their supers for different values to the habbox guide prices then that suggests that people are ignoring Habbox anyway - thus it shouldn't be an issue for you.

I felt this post was worthy of making my post count go from 16,000 to 16,001.

with the very rare super rares we can update the value from the last known trade, this was the case with the purple dragon - we make sure that this trade really did happen to stop the values becoming false.

It is difficult to keep on top of these super rares with a team of approx 15 people but i think we do a good job as Mr-Trainer and a few others are good frends with some of the big super rare owners and can therefore help with the values. I totally agree with Immenseman and most of the earlier posts - Habbox is just a guide and shouldnt be seen as the exact value, if it was the exact value then values would never need updating.

Very worthy indeed. I'm sure there's an easier way to go about getting personal gain though Document.... can't put my finger on it though.... I've got "Veno" in my head for some reason.... ring any bells???????

Do you think that the rare values department should "lay off" the super rare values and let the owners of the supers make up the values themselves, if yes or no, why?

    No.

We have always taken the last value traded and this will continue as policy, just as we place rares in the sections were they were last released in. I myself have been busy the past month or so and I have missed quite a lot although i'm getting back into the pace again, even I have noticed that the super rares market has collapsed because of the simple reason that you all bought the supers at unsustainable prices, and now that there is nobody to buy them back they have collapsed.

A good example of this is the trader Katweazel, he bought many supers at high prices and from the impression I gather, he had to sell them later on at appalling prices. Fubt provided a detailed report in the inaccurate thread we have, meaning he wanted people to scrutinise his report and we found nothing to be concerned about, as far as I personally gather his report is spot on.

We do ask for screenshots when we can, and if we doubt a trade then we investigate it further or wait until we hear more on that trade. I'm afraid you bought at the wrong time as from what I hear many supers were given out as prizes and as I have pointed out earlier, the market is going stale. I don't like it and i'm sure you don't, but its out of our control.

    1) I wasn't doing this for personal gain.. but good try on trying to nail this thread on the head..

    2) I was just wondering what others felt

    3) Yes I have bought some of the supers that are going down.. but I don't really care considering I sell my supers for the prices I want.. and I was just wondering what others thought about this.

Thanks Immense, Undertaker, Bolt, Jippet, lick, 00chips, and Fubt who has shared their opinions Much appreciated.
