Torres? Kaka almost went to you, AC accepted the offer, and Kaka just moments away from signing on the dotted line.

Why would Torres leave Liverpool though? Kaka stopped signing for us when he realised how much of a step down it would be realistically to his career and possibly reputation. (leaving for money)

I'm a bit annoyed with the Kaka situation as he said he wouldn't join us for respect to his club AC Milan and he wanted to stay for the fans. So he leaves for Real Madrid pmsl. In my eyes I see that he might have wanted to leave AC Milan but changed his mind about leaving them for City and made a correct choice in leaving for Real Madrid.

Ah OK, but not all players have been as successful as he has though, so it is kind of a gamble.

We tried to sign Robinho because of his upset at Madrid and we successfully bought him, we tried getting Kaka as we may have seen Milan capable of selling him for the money, we tried buying Eto' as Barcelona were looking to sell him and we tried buying David Villa as Valencia really need the money, but unfortunately they tried to take too much of an advantage of our wealth and they lost out on selling him to us.

So they're are big named players we have tried buying, but they are all players that we may have a chance of actually buying because of the problems they have at their clubs. Other than them players, we haven't tried getting players that are happy at they're club and unlikely to leave for a team not even in the Europa league.
