I was in 2 ATR Pirbright, which is separated into four units. My unit was 1 (Fowler) Squadron. The Squadron Commander was a Captain. The squadron was then separated into five troops (one per floor) mine was Smith Troop (on the top floor which was ******* annoying when you were tired ). Smith Troop had a Troop Commander (Captain Addison), a Troop Sergeant (Sergeant Thomas) and then Four Section Commanders (Corporals Ware, Clancy, Decker and Roberts) - they were your immediate training staff. You then had a PTI assigned to your troop (normally a Corporal or a Sergeant) as well as various other training staff - both military and civilian - through the course.
