Yes it is but I actually prefer the UMP, Got 1000 kills and 250 headshots with that.

SCAR-H to be honest. Its really powerful, low recoil and gets the kills. I only play Hardcore Team Deathmatch. Its so much better there, so yeah, SCAR-H with the PP2000 as the second gun, bling, Red Dot Site and Silencer, Cold Blooded and Imporved Hip Fire Accuracy. Ftw, for close range UMP40, and for totally clearing paths in Terminal, MP40 I think is the massive machine gun which is just awesome.

If your going by game stats then no doubt the best gun is the FAMAS. It delievers 30-40 damage per bullet and it bursts in 3 bullets. It basically ='s a one shot kill.

Been using the Tar 21 recently too, theres better guns in terms of recoil but i just fire in bursts

The SCAR-H is great but it goes through ammo so fast so anything to reduce the number of shots needed helps big time :]
