My opinion on the matter is, wait until a war breaks out and the whole EU crumbles. Public execution of most of the EU huffers sounds like a jolly good idea. If not, it can't be too bad. Provided they quit their stupid rule ideas. Even if most of their "plans" are ideas, they're pretty crap.

If a war came, the EU would be more likely to strengthen rather than weaken. The only war i could ever see happening would be between the US and China who's rivalry gets out of hand. Russia would probably attempt to invade europe or something and the European countries binding together defending themselves from them.

I can't imagine the UK following the USA into any war soon...

I was suggesting an EU type civil war Where loads of countries just turn on Germany/Belgian (France would just surrender immediately, no point getting themselves involved ). If anything, the EU would cause a war with other nations if they were attempting bullying tactics.

And yeah, the UK won't follow the USA into a war again for a long time. Afghanistan is the main war target at the moment, but if North Korea does decide to go crazy it would be between the US and them, considering all you ever hear about North Korea is the way they keep coming up with plans to launch missles to the US :/

There were never be another conventional war between major European powers, and if anything did occur in Europe it would be NATO who get involved, not the Fourth Reich European Union.

The Poll Tax was the right thing do to, whether or not the Council Tax system is right I do not know, however why have Labour not rolled this tax back then or lowered this tax? - under Labour tax has risen far higher than any Conservative government ever had taxes at.

The Council Tax system is a complete joke.. it goes up every year so go knows how much it'll be in 5 or 10 years time. I think people pay more or less depending on their circumstances so yeah.

I don't understand why Labour have not rolled back CT, i think that's a question where people are scratching their heads on. If you look at it though, can they do so? This Country is in huge amounts of debt, is it Trillions and Trillions we owe? The Council tax, NI and other such things that people have to pay, if they were cuts put on them then the Gov would find it self in a much bigger burden, leaving the debts to spiral even more out of control.

Yes, and it was Labour who piled up this mountain of debt. Therefore common sense would say 'cut and have lower taxes for the people to spend' or 'raise and have more money for the state to waste' - Labour chose like usual, the second option. Thatcher chose the first option.

I am not defending the Conservatives now as I think they are Blue Labour, and i'll wait to pass judgement on Cameron but as it stands at the moment, he wouldn't be getting my vote. To blame the problems this government has created on a Prime Minister who was in office two decades ago is wrong, especially considering how she brought this country from the cesspit it was to one of the financial capitals of the world.
