yeah if i did i'd have to keep myself busy at least two days a week like working in a charity shop or volunteering to work with less privileged children or something so i wouldn't feel like a millionnaire bum

I think I would rather work then just have £1million. But if I did have the million, I would pay all the bills and so on for my parents.

I wouldn't take it, technically if you buy a house, and the price of said house rises, you are earning, if you buy anything that will raise in value over the years, you are earning, bank interest, you are earning.

It'd be a very restricted life indeed.

i'm sorry but if i had a million quid and couldn't earn anything else, i'm not gonna go and give some of it away to charity :S:S

but yeah i'd take it and live a 'comfortable' life, with the occasional splurge here and there so the money lasts.

I'd agree with this if it was like growing up with rich parents and having everything handed to you, but if I was given this opportunity tomorrow I couldn't decline. Partly because it would make a hell of a difference to my family and probably because I'm just too lazy to say no to something like that .

I'm a fairly sensible spender and the interest would keep you going anyway.

From what I want to do, I could earn £1m over a few years so £1m for a lifetime wouldnt see me through.

Get you Joe. I don't think it's such an easy decision because I reckon you could live comfortably on a million. Get a place with no mortgage, could be in a nice area and a comfortable family home for 300K or whatever. Then you could live your current lives on £700,000 quite well if you racked the interest up I reckon. However, I still wouldn't personally take it for the reasons given above.

If I was allowed to invest it I would do it. I'd probably put it in a high-interest account for 5-10 years and then I'd begin investing it in businesses, then buy lots of houses and rent. Could make a fortune that way, and I'm pretty sure earning is only getting a salary from a job, investing should be okay?

I probably still would work, just I'd have the salary donated to charity and only work part time
