Reset? You mean just unplug it and plug it back in?![]()
Sorry for double post, but ive reset the router, turned it off and back on, and still my computer wont connect to it the internet?
Does it connect to the router? I think it's 192.168.2.1 on most, but it varies on make.
How do i find out if it connects to the router?
Ive got a belkin router and im on the admin page now having a look about, but havn't got a clue what any of it means lol.
Ah well, Belkin routers are 192.168.2.1 (type that into Firefox or any browser). OR, you go to your Belkin router and see if it says a wired device is added by looking at the front, or a light shows up near the hole you inserted the cable in at the back (depending on the model)![]()
Yes, the number 1 is lit up, which is the hole the ethernet is going into.
But on my screen, its not connecting, just a red cross through the internet sign?
Have you connected an ethernet cable to your computer?

The red cross usually indicates that the NIC isn't connected to anything.
Yes ive connected my ethernet to the computer lol.
And ok, but how do i make it connect then?
