I remember finding that impossible to play on the PS1. The first mission, are you in a bank? I just couldn't do it lol.

Whaaaa!? I guess nostalgia is a big part of it now, but even back in the day when I had only just been introduced to the game I thought it was one of the best ever made. For one, its actually a decent movie game that follows the plot of the film very closely and two; the multiplayer aspect of the game, at the time, had yet to be beaten.

Did you play it by yourself or with friends? Single player is good n'all but multiplayer is what it excelled at. I always used to invite friends around and we'd have have endless fun killing each other for hours. For some reason it just never got old. If they re-released GoldenEye 007 now but with online gameplay I'd be over the moon. Its a shame we might not be seeing it again... not even on Virtual Console.

Sorry don't mean to bump but only just noticed this response and feels ignorant to ignore it.

Yeah I only played it with my mate on multiplayer. We were just running around a dungeon sort of area with various passageways and you had to collect weapons. He slaughtered me lol . I didn't try single player so can't say what that's like but fair enough, I can imagine it was one of the best games of its time. I would no doubt enjoy a modern version should it be remade today.

You really need all four players to experience the fun. The only thing I think could have improved GoldenEye's multiplayer gameplay would have been computer players. The bots in Nightfire were a right laugh, and its great to play with your friends as a team against masses of computers. Or put everyone against you if you're amazingly good in my case. :8

Haha cool, I remember the non-movie PS2 ones like Nightfire and Agent Under Fire! They were great . My fav Bond game has to be Tomorrow Never Dies on the PS1 though :8.
