    Usernotes are a record of an issue.
    You pointlessly post, we record it - naturally.
    You pointlessly post again, we record it.

    Over the next two weeks you pointlessly post another ten times.

    On the eleventh time a moderator looks at the usernotes, sees "Oh, this member has posted pointlessly over 10 times in the past two weeks, I shall report him to a Super Moderator"

    The Super Moderator will then take action.

    If someone manages to obtain a large amount of usernotes, obviously they have had a lot of incidents around the forum and this will be looked into accordingly, however you are talking here forty/fifty usernotes which very few users have quite obviously.

    Usernotes are not a punishment, and that is the end of the line.

    I'm not entirely sure if any of the debates have ended yet, I'll ask Garion.

    Wouldn't they affect the decision of a forum manager in hiring a new moderator?
    Therefore = Punishment

    No, it's a record, not a punishment...

    Moderator reports haven't been based on that for some time.

    I think nearly all Moderators moderate the forums they want and are most active in, some maybe put in other forums if we are shorted-handed or they need more work and such. But this isn't normally an issue as moderating is the same throughout the forum. (Just some specific forum rules here and there)

    User Notes are there to keep a record of a how a user is doing. Any first rule breaks a user does, gets added into a usernote for safe keeping and to show to the moderation department what rules they have broken, if they have broken one of them rules then punishment is given such as a warning/infraction. Usernotes are also a record of what a Moderator/Super Moderator has Pm'ed a user, this can come in handy in some situations.

    It would depend on their full record. (Usernotes, warnings and infractions) to see if they are ideal for the job.

    If the debating in the other threads are up to a standard I deem worthy of awarding VIP :p.

    Also, @ Biohazard - If your quotes were posted together it would be fine, but the first quote was posted separately... so obviously it violates that rule?
