Yeah, I'm not just on about that member, just in general. PMs aren't just the issue. Just to add, last time I asked in here about a week or tw ago I told FML wasn't acceptable and they wouldn't change their mind because as someone silly said people would use it to just for the F word. Glad to see manegement changing their mind so quickly when they were very concerete when I asked.

Anyway, when she came back for a few days she was given PMs, yeah but that's not my point. For new members, they need to be more conversational. The one that has been posted in here by another user is fine for us older members but if you're new and not really understanding I wouldn't like something that official so to speak. Like I said, I think it'd be good even if just a line at the end of the PM was added like...

"This is nothing to be worried about Also, if you have any other questions - feel free to reply to this messgae and I'll do what I can "

As you can't offend/insult or really use it in the wrong way as it can't be aimed at anyone other then yourself. Due to it being more of a personal thing, my very bad example: CRAP I'M LATE FOR COLLEGE FML!

To be fair all the PMs I get about rules are similar to FJ's. They seem friendly enough.

Surely if you were late for college your main focus would be getting to college, not informing HxF that you are in fact, late for college?

I don't know how that's friendly. It's a negative sanction, based around you falling foul of the rules. I never said they were aggressive, god knows where that term was fabricated from. I'm not on about older members, but newer members.

Glad that Matt has taken it on board and will see what he can do anyway

My example was really for someone who uses twitter on a regular basis haha. But I did say it was bad ! But either way my point still stands.

I see where you are coming from, that never did pop back up when we did the filter thing a few weeks back.

A few examples of PM's sent to new members, ive removed the private details of course.

These are real PMs that have been sent to members within 2 weeks of them registering.

They all included the members name. I don't think there's much more we can say.

    Hey [insert name here]

This is just a PM about a post you made in this thread here.

    You said:

    Quote:
    [Here would be the post]

In this post, you are making a sarcastic comment towards the other forum member suggesting they're a loser.

Althought your comment was only mildy rude, it is still against the forum rules to be rude towards other forum members.

If you continue to break this rule further action will be taken which could result in a warning or infraction.

    Thanks,
    *REMOVED*
    Hi [insert name here],

I'm writing to you about the following post:

    *REMOVED*

Here you "bumped" an old thread.

The last post in that thread was 2-3 years ago, and therefore you shouln't really post in it, as this is breaking a forum rule.

This is just a PM reminder, but please be careful not to bump old threads in the future. If they seem old, feel free to make a new thread about the topic.

    Cheers,
    *REMOVED*
    Hello [INSERT MEMBER NAME HERE],

I am writing to you to remind you of the following rule:

    Quote:
A11. Do not post pointlessly – A pointless post has no relevance to the topic, any previous post or is meaningless (ghnrgher etc). A pointless thread either has no meaning, is something posted that is not true (e.g. false story in news and rumours) or a thread that doesn't prompt a discussion (eg. post the colour of socks you're wearing).
Your post here did not make a valid contribution to the thread and is therefore considered pointless. Please bear this in mind in the future, or further action may be taken against you.

    Thanks,
    *REMOVED*
    Hey there

    Welcome to Habbox Forum

It appears that your avatar may be a picture of yourself.

Unfortunately, at Habbox Forum we do not allow users to have avatars containing pictures of themselves.

Please can you remove this as soon as possible to avoid me having to take further action.

You can rind our rules here, these may help you understand how our forum works.

    Thanks

    Hey [USER],

Here your post breaks the forum rule of avoiding the filter. Editing the word so that it is not completely filtered is classed as avoiding the filter.

As this is your first offence you will only recieve this PM. If you continue to break this rule then further action will be taken which could result in a warning or an infraction.

    Thanks,
    *REMOVED*
