    thats horrible why on earth would someone who lost someone close to them on 9/11 want a 9/11 related license plate?? thats like saying if my mother was stabbed to death, i would want to buy a bunch of knives in her honor. i really really dont understand the logic behind someone buying it?

    Because its the date they died so its a memorial lmao.
    Buying some knifes if someone got stabbed is a little different.

    Agreed. Your best bet when selling it is not to point out the relevance to that date (as I said it wasn't apparent to me until it was pointed out). It's not exactly a clearly printed date and technically is isn't even personalised - as it contains the regular pattern of characters. I would advertise it as a spare that was left over after a you bought a separate personalised plate

    To be honest I would sell it anyway, I'm sure someone would have it, you get people who collect things like numberplates and automotive memorobilia. Maybe a museum would have it.
